About
For the better part of a decade, I’ve worked in public relations. Whether working within a major airline’s multi-million-dollar budget at one of the world’s largest PR agencies or developing a targeted media strategy for a startup on a tight budget, I have produced outstanding results for my clients.
In business, “a woman with a past” is preferred, and I’m happy to share mine. Prior to starting J. Clary Public Relations, I had the opportunity to build my writing, strategic planning and media relations expertise with some stellar boutique agencies: virtual firm Just Drive Media and Tampa-based RFB Communications. During my time at Just Drive and RFB, I secured client coverage in a number of top-tier broadcast and print media outlets for B2B, technology, mobile, consumer and non-profit clients. Some of those clients included eBay, Kforce Professional Staffing, Achieve Tampa Bay, OpenTable, Data Deposit Box and ScanCafe.

While in the Dallas office of Weber Shandwick, one of the world’s largest and most respected PR agencies, I had the opportunity to work with such household names as American Airlines, Sprint, Arby’s, Hershey’s, Kinko’s and ExxonMobil. I also spent time as a public relations specialist for Crawford & Company, a Fortune 1000 insurance solutions provider. At Crawford, I managed all U.S. public relations activities and coordinated with my PR counterparts overseas.
I hold a B.S. in public relations (that’s Bachelor of Science, not some other abbreviation!) with a special concentration in business from the University of Florida. Yes, I’m a true Gator fan, but that won’t stop me from getting great results for a FSU Seminole or Georgia Bulldog!
